Chapter 34 Part 2
How much can change in 72 hours? That’s the thought that’s been pinging around my mind this past weekend. It’s absolutely fascinating how one piece of news can change your whole perspective, change your whole life.
This weekend gave me the opportunity to lean into my own coaching tools. Of course I know to meditate. Of course I know to focus on nourishing food and movement. Of course I know to tap into my senses to come home to the body. But. When the metaphorical doo-soo hits the fan, it is imperative to have a go-to strategy for grounding. So I suppose that at the end of a pretty crazy weekend, I can thank my past self for learning tools that will support me throughout my entire life.
Really this is the whole point of why I coach. I want people to come home to themselves and be prepared for all that life offers; roses and thorns and things that have no name. I am grateful for the chance to coach myself and for the reminder that we are all going through life TOGETHER.
Shout out to my amazing partner, Alex, for being a great human and riding the rollercoaster with me. You are a great reminder that who you surround yourself with matters. My hope for you all in the coming week is the groundedness I found this weekend, supporters like Alex, and the deep, soulful bravery to L I V E your life like it’s the only one you’ll ever get.
Oh - one more thing! This weekend I taught my first class back at UrbanCore - Power & Chill. Wow- y’all showed up! The class was magneticccc and the students were immaculate. Catch me every other Saturday at 10am at UrbanCore in downtown Bakersfield, CA. We’ll breathe, stretch, laugh, meditate, visualize, flow - hell, maybe we’ll even dance! The point is to move with joy, breathe with intention, connect inward and with community, and celebrate. See you all on 8/2!
